Protectapeel’s unique range of water-based  maskants are specifically designed for use during  chemical milling / etching process, electroplating and anodising. Protectapeel is applied as a liquid by spray, roller or dip and dries to form a skin tight protective maskant. The durable maskant provides complete protection from acid attack, allowing detailed and specific areas to be processed quickly and accurately. The maskants are suitable for use in a number of etchants including; hydrofluoric / hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide. 

With the increasing pressure regarding VOC legislation, we are proud to announce our temporary, protective maskants are low voc, meaning they are not only environmentally friendly, but are non-toxic and safe for the people handling them.

Metal Finishing Maskant

Protectapeel 284/6 Red is a solvent based, temporary, peelable maskant used during the chemical treatment of metals such as: anodising, plating, etching/milling and chemical cutting. Protectapeel 284/6 Red shows excellent resistance to acid and abrasions.

Protectapeel Hydromask N is a water-based, one-pack, temporary peelable coating used as a maskant for the chemical treatment of metals. Hydromak N has excellent resistance to acid and alkali during treatments such as chemical milling/etching, electroplating and anodising. This product can be applied by spray, roller dip or brush - it can then be air dried or force dried using a combination of heat and/or heat moving air

Protectapeel Hydromask S is a water-based, heat-curing, temporary peelable maskant designed for use during chemical etching/milling/pickling processes. Protectapeel Hydromask S shows excellent resistance to acid and abrasion and can be applied by spray, roller or dip. The product can be air dried or force dried using a combination of heat and/or heat and moving air.
